Consumers’ Choice Award
The Consumers’ Choice AwardTM is an initiative of Consumers’ Choice Institute. A leading
independent research firm is hired to conduct a survey in major U.S. and Canadian cities. The
survey is conducted with consumers and business people alike and covers a broad range of
categories of interest. Consumers are asked “...which business is your choice for excellence
in each category? Please consider the elements of quality, service, value and appearance”.
The approach is unique in North America because the winners are determined by consumers and
not by a panel of judges. A Gold Medal is awarded for each category and where justified,
Silver and Bronze. Rarely there have been ties.
